Sporting Wishes come true.....
Sporting Wish comes true for Ethan, Samual, Morgan & Daniel
On Saturday 27th July 2013, whilst qualifying was about to start for the Hungarian Grand Prix, Infiniti Red Bull Racing enabled our 4 budding race drivers the Sporting Wish to have a look around their highly secretive and guarded factory.
Each one of our four face the daily battle to fight against their medical conditions ranging from Leukaemia,
Osteosarcoma (bone cancer), Juvenile Arthitis and Uveitis. Every day they individually show incredible courage and determination, so it was our pleasure at Sports Connections Foundation to give them a day to remember for all the right reasons.
The day started in glorious sunshine as Ethan, Samual, Morgan and Daniel arrived. They were greeted by Alan Peasland, who would be their brilliant guide for the morning, and he made them feel like V.I.P's as soon as they arrived in the spectacular entrance, which boasts the F1 World drivers trophy and the F1 Constructors trophy.
They were soon whisked into the boardroom, where Alan showed them some highly secretive footage which set the tone for an inspiring and amazing tour.
Our 4 F1 fans got to see the highly sophisticated race simulator, hold drivers steering wheels, hold Sebastian Vettle's seat, play with Mark Webber's race helmet, watch and marvel the R&D testing components, put a F1 wheel on using the pneumatic guns, watch the Ops room in action and even sit in one of their F1 cars.
Every step of the way and each department the team at Infiniti Red Bull Racing were fantastic with every child.
Obviously we cant write too much, just in case we give something away, but it was an experience everyone of them will cherish.
At the end, they were presented with some incredible gifts including signed caps from World champion Sebastian Vettle and Mark Webber, and even given some components where there are only 4 of them in the world, and they now belong to Ethan, Samual, Morgan and Daniel.
Thank you so much to Infiniti Red Bull Racing for enabling us to make their 'Sporting Wish' come true
